A partial coding sequence of exon 2 of the mouse Muc13 gene is replaced by CreERT2-P2A-Superfolder GFP-rBG pA. When this strain is crossed with mice containing loxP sites, after induction with tamoxifen in the offspring mice, it is expected that Cre-recombinase-mediated sequence recombination between loxP sites will occur in the pancreas, colon, and kidneys. In addition, a green fluorescent protein (GFP) expression element is inserted after the CreERT2 recombinase element in this model, which can also be used for the tracking of Muc13-positive cells.
